Welcome to the Youth Ministry page of Bible Evangelical Free Church—stay connected and up to date by joining our Bible EFC youthgroup—IGNITE Facebook page
.
It is our desire for the Ignite Youth Ministry at Bible Evangelical Free Church to be as hands-on and interactive as possible, allowing students to experience Christ for themselves. We want to create an authentic, transparent, genuine and honest atmosphere.
Even with a good vision, the right topics and healthy gatherings, students still need someone who genuinely cares about them. We believe personal relationships are a priority, but we must understand that the Holy Spirit is the One that brings true transformation.
We want to give students the right to fail as they work out their faith and continue in the process of becoming healthy disciples of Christ who are multiplying themselves in others.

What do we value most in helping students grow in relationship to Christ as a healthy disciple?
Bible-We in the BEFC Youth Ministry value the Bible as God’s inspired Word and the main source of inspiration and instruction on how to live the Christian life. Whether we are studying a book of the Bible, a subject of theology, a popular topic or trend, we will use the Bible as the place that we turn to for answers. We will also be committed to teaching students how to use the Bible to grow in an intimate relationship with Christ as his disciple. 2 Timothy 3:16-17
Prayer- We value prayer as the most powerful and effective activity for believers to engage in. We will incorporate multiply methods in our ministry. We will also encourage students to develop a personal prayer life that will help them grow as a healthy disciple of Christ. James 5:16
Worship- We value worship in many forms, but especially the singing of praises to God who deserves all our glory. We believe that worship is one the best ways to grow in an intimate relationship with Christ. Ps. 150
Small Groups- We value small groups as a vehicle that will help students to have an environment to share their lives and be transparent about how they are really doing, especially as it relates to becoming a healthy disciple of Christ. Exodus 18:13-26
Personal Relationships- We value personal relationships because we believe they are the most effective way to help students in becoming healthy disciples of Christ. Adult leaders will model regular and intentional interaction with students. We also value helping leaders keep healthy boundaries with those of the opposite sex. Hebrews 10:25
Evangelism- We value the regular and personal sharing of the gospel of Jesus Christ. We will provide many opportunities for students to make decisions to commit their lives to Christ. We will also value students who are trained and comfortable sharing their faith with others. 2 Cor. 5:18
Spirit–led transformation- We value activities that will help bring about life–changing Spirit–led transformation. We know that change cannot be manufactured artificially and we are committed to praying for God’s Spirit to be at work in students' lives. 2 Corinthians 3:16-18
