Welcome to Children’s Ministry at Bible Evangelical Free Church! We’re delighted that you are looking into the variety of experiences that we are able to offer for children. Our goal is to come alongside you and your children to help them discover the wonder of God, His love and to connect them with Jesus. We trust that your children will find our ministry to be fun and interactive as they learn about Jesus and apply His truth to their lives. We strive to provide activities that excite children about what they are learning, leaving them with anticipation for more!
Safety and Security Measures
We have an amazing group of volunteers who love children and who are dedicated to their spiritual development. Please be assured that your child’s safety is very important to us. All of our volunteers go through a training session and a screening process, which includes a background check.

On Sundays
Nursery
Love, playtime, and activities to introduce our youngest children to the love of Christ are offered in the nursery during both services. Nursery care is provided throughout the year. We have a check–in system designed to keep your child safe. When you bring your child to the Nursery, you will be greeted by our Nursery volunteers. They will make sure that your child has a nametag and then randomly assign your child a number that matches the number on the parent pick–up tag. This allows us to verify that every child goes with the correct adult. Children must be at least six weeks old prior to attending nursery.
Pre-School
Preschoolers (age three by September 1 of the current school year) are invited to join us in a class created with their enthusiasm and energy in mind! Located in the rooms directly across from the Nursery, this is a place where boys and girls have opportunities to sing praises to God in worship, engage in creative and hands-on Bible lessons, participate in active games, and explore new friendships. Our teachers show God’s love to young children by sparking their imaginations, which makes learning about God’s Word a fun and memorable experience! Most importantly, they will grow in their love for Jesus. Parents are required to pick up their children following class. Preschool classes are offered during both services.
Elementary
During the 9:00 service each Sunday, Bible EFC offers an exciting Sunday School class for children Kindergarten through fifth grade. We begin with a large group Praise and Worship session followed by breakout sessions determined by grade level which include interactive experiences as children learn about the Word of God along with life applications!
During the 10:30 service each Sunday, Children’s Church is the enlightening experience offered to children from Kindergarten through second grade! Storytelling, music, and hands–on activities bring the Bible to life as our teachers build meaningful relationships with the children while encouraging spiritual growth.
On Wednesdays
Wednesday Night Café
Prior to AWANA, an entire meal is served from 5:00 – 5:45 pm. Suggested donation is $1 per plate. Everyone is welcome to come and enjoy a delicious meal and time of fellowship.
AWANA Club (Registration begins at 5:30pm followed by Club Time from 5:45pm-7:30pm)
AWANA is a worldwide ministry whose goal is to reach boys and girls with the Gospel of Christ and train them to serve him. AWANA stands for “Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed” (2 Timothy 2:15). AWANA is offered during the school year (September – April) for children preschool (three years old by September 1 of the current school year) through sixth grade.
The children are divided by age group — “Cubbies” for preschoolers, “Sparks” for children in Kindergarten through second grade, and “Truth & Training” (a boys group and a girls group) for third through sixth grade children. Preschool participants must have a parent or adult sponsor on premises throughout the Club hours (there are numerous classes and volunteer opportunities available during this time for adults).
Clubbers begin their evening in the Sanctuary at 5:45pm for a time of worship and announcements which is followed by participation in a high energy evening that includes Handbook Time, during which they practice and recite memorization Bible verses, Council Time, during which they participate in Bible lessons that will impact their lives, and Game Time.
There are also various theme nights and special events each year. Examples may be a Drive-In Movie Night, Turtle and Grand Prix Races, or “Camping” nights. These are sure to make your children’s experience at AWANA fun and extra special! Our clubbers also participate in district wide Bible Quizzing and Game Time competitions with surrounding clubs.
Our AWANA team of volunteers has a huge heart and vision to reach kids with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We invite your children and their friends to join us!

We have ministry opportunities as unique as you are. Our team consists of teachers, helpers, Nursery caregivers, snack providers, organizers and everything in between. To volunteer, you simply need to have a servant’s heart and a desire to see children come to know Jesus as their Savior and grow spiritually. We have a variety of positions available both by ministering directly to children and serving behind the scenes.
