Disciples of Truth Group – 8:00am – In this group setting, you’ll open your Bibles and even a hymnal as together you and the group explore Gods Word toward life-application that comes from understanding. You are invited!
New Beginnings Adult Bible Fellowship – 9:00am – In this fellowship setting, you’ll truly get to know others, as together you interact about life and challenge one another toward living Biblical lives. Multiple generations are represented in this opportunity to connect. You are invited!
“If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be given you” (John 15:7)
We believe prayer matters. Continually, we’re trying to spur one another on toward personal prayer, but we also invite you to participate in:
Weekly Prayer: Tuesdays 6:30pm. Great place to pray for others, the church, or be prayed over. Not sure how to pray? Come join us. It’s as easy as talking to someone else!
Times of Refreshing: Once a month on Saturday evenings, (check calendar for dates), beginning at 6:30pm. This is a free–flowing time that combines extended worship, sharing and prayer!
Tomah Area Prayer Meeting: On the 2nd Monday of the month at 6:00 pm, people gather from multiple churches (location rotates - check calendar for location) to pray – what a wonderful ministry in, for, and with our community!
E-Mail Prayer Notifications: Want to pray, but feel you need some guidance as to what to pray for? Contact our church office and simply request to be placed on the group prayer list. (You can unsubscribe at anytime.)
When attending Bible EFC, you can fill out a prayer request card and drop it in the “Prayer Box” in the foyer!
If you would like to become a part of our Pastoral Intercessory Prayer Teams, or have other questions about prayer at Bible EFC, contact our church office and they can put you in touch with our Prayer Coordinator, Karen Birkeness!
OWLS² (Older - Wiser - Loving - Senior - Saints): This group doesn’t just meet, they take action! Beyond gathering each Wednesday at 10am right here at church, often this group takes on a project and serves both the church and community. Each Wednesday you are invited to join us for fellowship, and of course, coffee & treats! There often is a brief devotional or teaching time and prayer. Special guest speakers are frequently invited and participate with this group. This group is famous for saying: “We are seniors, but young at heart—no age restrictions!” If you are free on Wednesday mornings, come and join us!
Relationships between women are so important. For ministry to women, they are essential. We are very encouraged to have a team of women led by Amy Sandager, planning toward an ever–increasing breadth and depth of relational ministry with women. Events like the recent Women’s Gathering and other seasonal luncheons or conference opportunities may gain the most publicity, but it’s the week in - week out relational connection shared by many that truly ministers to women’s hearts.
“So that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work” 2 Timothy 3:17
Just after God explains the importance and value of Scripture (2 Timothy 3:16) he informs us about “men of God” being thoroughly equipped to do good works! Men are very important to the work and ministry of Bible EFC! Guys take a step of faith and as iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another. Let’s live this out together. Peter Malinger is leading other men who desire to grow in Christ.
Experience the following connections for yourself, and make the choice to get involved:
No Regrets Conference: This always seems to be the highlight for the men of Bible EFC each year. Saturday, February 4, 2012. Bible EFC has secured a block of wristbands to the Elmbrook Church (main sanctuary) location of this one–day event in Brookfield, WI (just west of Milwaukee). Make plans to join us and invite a friend! Click here to learn more.
“Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another” (Hebrews 10:25)
Sunday mornings are great at Bible EFC, but life happens during the week. Our goal is to have “Bible Groups” available for people to meet and open Scripture—to interact with real life as it happens throughout the week.
Currently, groups are meeting in the evenings on Sundays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays at various locations. If you’d like more information about these current group opportunities, contact Pastor Jonathan. Better yet, contact him and let him know God is leading you to begin a new group in your area, and you just need to be equipped!
We’d love to have multiple “Bible Groups” meeting each night of the week— environments for people to be real, authentic, open with one another, and be challenged by life–transforming Scripture.
One exciting thing that is developing this ministry year is a more comprehensive, church-wide approach toward care! Please check back to this part of the website for further content and equipping tools toward how you can “Be the Church” as you interact with people who need care.
Beyond that, after the first of the year, we will further unveil a new support structure for care complete with web–links and tools. We are developing effective strategies, and what makes this truly great is the heart behind those who are developing and recruiting others with the same heart and love of Jesus to care for others. Just another way we are seeking to connect people with Jesus and others!
